Hull Cleaning

While the aim of biofouling regulations are to protect marine biodiversity, maintaining clean vessel hulls will also reduce fuel consumption and help operators to reach their emission reduction targets.

At Hull Care we understand the importance of How, when and where to clean. Depending on the coating type and its state we select the appropiate location and technology.

Propeller Polishing

The sole purpose of polishing a propeller underwater is to reduce the surface roughness.

Removing marine growth and calcium deposits is giving a super smooth surface which is inhospitable to marine organisms as well as being beneficial to the efficiency of the propeller performance and reducing stress on the propeller shaft and ship’s engines.

Inspections

  • Inspections can catch signs of damage or wear early, before they become serious problems.
  • This can include cracks, nicks, or bent blades, which can affect the performance and efficiency of the propeller, as well as increase the risk of failure.
  • Visual inspections can identify marine growth or debris that may have accumulated on the hull and propeller which can also negatively impact its performance.

Repairs

We send qualified staff to vessels that require maritime repair services afloat, whether they are located at Port or Offshore, in order to conduct accurate recognition of all the requirements of each project and provide custom-made solutions to our client’s needs.

From Blanking outlets to allow internal repairs to seal changes and propeller cropping.
